Edge 80 Optic: Extraordinary creative control over depth of field with the impact of tilt effects

Meet the Edge 80 - Lensbaby’s most versatile optic. With a flat field of focus and a 12-blade adjustable aperture, this 80mm f/2.8 optic provides yet another extraordinary way to control depth of field. Use it as a straight lens to create beautiful images with superb edge-to-edge sharpness - or fluidly tilt it in any bending Lensbaby lens body to get a razor-sharp slice of focus through your image, surrounded by beautiful blur.

Like a lens mounted on a view camera bellows, when tilted, the Edge 80 delivers a slice of tack-sharp focus through the image, bordered by a soft blur. Use this to great effect in any situation that lends itself to selective focus – from food photography to giving landscapes a “miniature” appearance. Tilt horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to place your slice of focus within the image. The aperture setting affects the depth of the slice of focus; the tilt and focus determine its placement within the picture.

Sweet 35: Lensbaby's first 35mm optic features an adjustable 12-blade internal aperture and close-focus capability

The Sweet 35 Optic is a selective-focus optic with an internal 12-blade adjustable aperture that creates a tack-sharp "Sweet Spot" of sharp focus surrounded by gradual blur. Photographers can move the Sweet Spot around the photo by tilting their Lensbaby lens and can quickly and seamlessly change the aperture by rotating the front dial – which also affects the size of the Sweet Spot. The Sweet 35 close-focuses as near as 19 centimetres from the front of the lens when used with the Lensbaby Composer and as close as 8 centimetres when used with the Muse.

Tilt Transformer™: tilt Nikon-mount lenses for creative focus effects with micro four-thirds and Sony α NEX cameras

The Tilt Transformer™ allows photographers to tilt any Nikon® mount lens up to twice the amount of standard tilt/shift lenses, delivering photos that have a slice of focus through the image, bordered by a soft blur. The size of the slice of focus is dependent upon the aperture used. For example, f/1.4 will produce a very thin slice of focus with abundant blur; f/22 will produce a very wide slice of focus with just at tiny bit of blur. Photographers gain an unprecedented degree of creativity using this effect. Available mounts fit the Panasonic Lumix™ G Micro System, Olympus PEN® digital cameras and Sony® Alpha NEX cameras.
