Brilliantly simple lighting accessories for shoe-mount flash

The Honl Photo Speed System is a collection of lightweight, durable and affordable light modifiers designed to universally fit all shoe-mount flash units. These versatile, practical accesories allow photographers to shape light without resorting to cumbersome and expensive lighting equipment.

The Honl Speed System consists of an assortment of grids, snoots, gobos and gels that attach quickly and easily to any shoe-mount flash via the Speed Strap, a non-slip Velcro® strap that wraps around the flash head without the use of annoying adhesives.

The Honl Speed System was devised by David Honl, a photojournalist with over two decades of professional experience including assignments in Turkey, Iraq, Jordan, and Kazakhstan. Honl's work has been published in Newsweek, People Magazine, Men's Fitness and National Geographic.

Speed Strap

The Speed Strap provides the mount for all Honl Photo Speed System attachments.

Put an end to rubber bands, tape or sticky residue from gluing velcro to your expensive strobes!

The Speed Strap fits any shoe-mount flash unit, attaches and removes in seconds, and provides a large wraparound surface area to quickly attach Speed Grids, Speed Gobos, Speed Snoots or Honl Gels. It's non-slip, so it won't budge when attached.

Speed Grids – 1/4", 1/8"

Speed Grid honeycomb cells narrow the beam of light from your portable flash unit, producing a small circle of light on your subject. Perfect for dramatic lighting effects. Fits any shoe-mount and most handle-mount portable strobes. Attaches quickly and easily to the Speed Strap (available separately). Speed Grids are constructed of rugged ABS/polycarbonate. Speed Gobo/Bounce Card

The versatile Speed Gobo is made of a tough black ballistic nylon on one side and a white polymer on the other. The black side can be used to keep light from flaring into your lens when using your flash as a background light or hairlight; the white side can be used as a bounce card. Buy two for a great barn door setup.

These versatile and easy-to-use snoots can be shaped to concentrate the light from your shoe-mount flash for dramatic cinematic lighting, or opened up to use as a flash bouncer/reflector. Honl Gels
Colour FX kit,
Colour Correction kit

Colour your strobes to correct for tungsten, fluorescent or daylight lighting environments or to add artistic colour effects to your images. These superior quality gels are pre-cut and have attached strips of velcro to secure quickly to a Speed Strap (available separately). Honl Gels can be used in conjunction with Honl Snoots, Gobos, and Grids.

Usable gel area: Approx. 64mm x 102mm (2.5" x 4"). Can be trimmed to fit individual strobes.
