Rogue's 3-in-1 honeycomb grid offers three distinctly different spotlight sizes

The patent-pending Rogue Grid design features stacking honeycomb grids that provide three levels of spot lighting control: 16, 25 and 45 degrees. Photographers using this small, lightweight system can choose from three distinctly different size grid spots, each with the characteristic neat, circular shape and attractive gradual falloff to the periphery.

The Rogue Grid's unique design utilises precision-moulded honeycomb grids that can be used independently for the 25- or 45-degree spots, or stacked together to create the 16-degree spot. Because the honeycomb cells align precisely using the integrated alignment features, they can be stacked without creating unwanted shadows and reducing light output. When not being used, the stacked grids store conveniently inside the bezel.

When attached to a light source, a honeycomb grid creates a spot of light with a gradual fall-off useful for adding dimension and depth to an image, or for highlighting important features. The angle of the grid determines the size of the spot projected forward, with smaller degree grids producing smaller spots, and larger angles producing larger spots. Grids are often used on off-camera flashes as hairlights in portraiture, or for background or accent lights when a photographer is interested in highlighting a portion of an image for dramatic effect. When attached to an off-camera flash, grids help draw attention to an object, texture or colour, and can help to create a desired atmosphere or mood in an image.

The Rogue Grid comes with its own attachment for connecting to the flash, and can be used independently of other FlashBender accessories. Measuring 92 x 30 mm (3.6" x 1.2") and weighing just 100 grams (3.5oz) with the included strap, the Rogue Grid fits easily into any photographer's bag.

Rogue FlashBenders have positional rods to shape the light where you want it to be

Rogue FlashBenders

Versatile accessories for on-camera flash create portable, easy, situation-specific lighting

Rogue FlashBenders comprise a new system of positionable modifiers for shoe mount flash that offer precision lighting control.

Flexible Rogue FlashBenders help photographers to direct light exactly where it's needed or to shield it from where it shouldn't be. Built-in positionable rods mold the reflectors to a given shape and hold them firmly in place. Manufactured from the highest-quality materials, Rogue FlashBenders install quickly onto the flashgun with an easy belt attachment and are designed to work with all makes and models of shoe-mount flash.

A Rogue FlashBender gives the user the freedom to shift from a large open reflector to a snoot – or anything in between – in a matter of seconds. This versatile, convenient tool is in a reasonably priced, lightweight and durable form that quickly folds flat for easy storage. There are three models:

  • The Bounce Card/Flag can be used either as a reflector to bounce light onto a subject or as a flag to shield it away. With dimensions of 127mm x 228mm, the Bounce Card/Flag contains 1 positionable rod to mold the product and hold it in place.
  • The Small Reflector can be used as a reflector, flag or as a snoot to produce a narrow circle of light. With dimensions of 254mm x 178mm, the Small Reflector includes two 2 positional rods.
  • The Large Reflector can be used as a reflector, flag or as a snoot. With dimensions of 254mm x 280mm, the Large Reflector offers twice the reflective surface area of the Small Reflector and includes 3 positional rods.

ExpoDiscExpoDisc

Don't waste time fixing colour.
Capture the colour you see.

The ExpoDisc is a custom white balance filter that allows SLR photographers to quickly and easily set an accurate custom white balance. Using an ExpoDisc custom white balance will virtually eliminate the need for RAW or JPEG post-capture colour adjustments. Consistently producing excellent results in natural, artificial, and studio lighting, the versatile ExpoDisc even excels in difficult mixed lighting environments.

The ExpoDisc is far easier to use than any grey card, white card or calibration target. Simply place the ExpoDisc in front of your lens and capture the incident light (the light illuminating the subject) while setting your camera’s custom white balance.

This approach avoids or reduces the common problems and inconveniences associated with using grey cards, white cards and calibration targets: unwieldy size,
unwanted reflectivity, improper angling and difficulty in filling the frame.

The ExpoDisc is available in a variety of filter sizes to fit most popular lenses using a convenient snap-on mount. If purchasing a single ExpoDisc, we recommend buying the ExpoDisc that fits your largest lens and holding it flush over smaller lenses.

ExpoApertureExpoAperture

Even if your DSLR has a depth-of-field preview, sometimes it's just too difficult to see through your camera's viewfinder exactly what's in focus – the light levels may be too low, or the aperture is too small to allow you to see through the viewfinder. And even with zoom, the camera's monitor doesn't always give you a good idea of the sharpness of important parts of your image.

Now you can do what the real professionals do: use the handy ExpoAperture rotating calculators to arrive at the precise depth of field for the focal length and lens aperture you're using.

Available in Australia as a 2-disc metric set.
